An example of how a consultation may go

Sarah comes to a homeopathic therapist because she is experiencing headaches. She tells the homeopath that this is her problem; soon however it appears that she is also experiencing depression. She’s had these problems for about thirteen years now and it only seems to get worse.

As the consultation goes deeper it appears these symptoms first started when her father passed away. curedHer father meant a lot to her and she still misses him every day. She finds it difficult to talk about the grieve she still feels about this and doesn’t want to bother other people with it. She feels she should be able to deal with it alone. If others try to help or comfort her she completely shuts herself off to them. The only comfort she occasionally finds is with her husband.

It also appears that she feels responsible for everything. If something goes wrong she feels guilty. She’s very empathetic and her sensitivity often makes for others to lay down their burdens on her. Her headaches are less severe when she’s outside but get worse in the sunlight. Her depressions are less severe when she is alone.

The day after taking her homeopathic remedy her headache gets much worse. This is supposed to happen. After five weeks she comes back to the homeopath and says she’s feeling much better every day. It’s like a great burden is slipping down from her shoulders. She says she’s thinking less about her father and is feeling a bit happier. She even laughed spontaneously again. Her headaches are getting milder each day.

After a couple of more weeks Sarah had to take the homeopathic remedy again because the symptoms where mildly returning. This is not unusual. After taking the homeopathic remedy for the second time she’s now been free of pain for two years and is able to enjoy life again; feeling more balanced all around.
